[VIDEO] I Was In A Car Accident. What Happens If I Don’t Have Health Insurance?

Mar 4, 2021 | Car Accidents, FAQ Videos, Personal Injury

How long does it take for an auto accident settlement to complete? I hear this question from new clients all the time, and I wish I had an answer for it, but it really depends on a number of things.

Number one: How long does it take for clients to finish their medical care? We don’t try to settle cases or get them in front of juries until we know the full extent of our clients injuries.

Number two: Do we have all the information about how the accident occurred?

Number three: Do we have all of the medical bills that we need? My point here is that we don’t try to get cases settled or put them in front of juries until they’re ready.

There’s a four-year statute of limitations in Florida in most cases and we have to put it in the court system within the four years. But you don’t ever want a lawyer trying to settle your case before they know the full extent of your damages and whether or not you’re going to have a problem into the future.

Here at Willis Law, for 27 years we’ve been handling personal injury cases. We never try and get your case settled until we know the full extent of your injuries and the full value of the damages you’re entitled to.
