At WILLIS LAW, P.A. we do not charge any fees or costs to our clients unless we make a financial recovery on their behalf. This is commonly called a Contingent Fee Agreement. This Agreement is beneficial to our clients because there is no financial risk to them if the case is settled without a lawsuit. Contingent Fee Agreements are governed by the Florida Rules of Professional Responsibility which controls the amount of attorneys fees we can charge.

In accordance with the Florida Rules, we charge 33 and one third percent of any liability recovery as our fee if the case settles without resort to the court system. This is commonly referred to as a "claim settlement." When the case requires a lawsuit to settle or to obtain a jury verdict, our fee is 40% of any liability recovery.

There are certain exceptions to these fees, such as when the liable party is a governmental agency, so please contact us to discuss the exact fee charged in your case.
